Citing a strong and successful partnership that began with Saks Fifth Avenue – Beachwood, she explains “Eventually I would like Saks to carry my line in all 50 plus stores around the country”
Each piece of jewelry in the Marisé Designs collection is made by hand of the finest natural materials including gold, silver, gemstones and pearls. For daytime or eveningwear, the line includes an extensive array of individually-crafted jewelry designs to fit any occasion. Marisé also transforms old, forgotten or antique pieces into unique creations to fit individual styles, personalities and tastes.
“Especially popular right now in Europe as well as the US is any type of jewelry that looks international or exotic,” said Marise. “My collection features rich, colorful stones that reflect the cultures of places. Jewelry speaks an international language, and people everywhere express their personalities through the pieces they wear. We make it easy by offering a wide selection of choices — from a bride’s simple string of pearls to an inspired amber sapphire choker,” she said. “There’s something for everyone.”
Marisé’s collection has accessorized many prestigious European Fashion Show collections including the “Pasarela Cibeles Fashion Show” in Madrid Spain. Marisé first introduced her collection in Asunción, Paraguay on January 2, 2001. The event took place in the reception areas of a very exclusive apartment high rise in this colonial Latin America Capital. The event was organized to introduce Marise’s line to several important jewelry stores in Asunción, to the media, and to collect funds and to create awareness for a center for the mentally handicapped in Asunción called “Albino Ruiz”.
Philanthropy is central to her mission as a designer. Marisé often donates special pieces from her collection to raise financial support for organizations and issues that are important to her.
Most notably, on September 27, 2000 Marisé donated a piece of her jewelry collection to benefit “Casa del niño” in Washington DC. “Casa del niño” is a project of Oscar De La Renta in favor of orphan children in the Dominican Republic. Marisé attended the “Christmas in September Luncheon” and presented her donation to Oscar De La Renta in this event.
In 2004 she was the guest speaker at the Fashion School of Kent State University.
In 2005, through Saks Fifth Avenue Pittsburgh Store she had the opportunity to accessorize the wifes and relatives of the players of the Pittsburgh Steelers Football Team during a fashion show organized to raise funds for the Transplant Center of the Pittsburgh University Hospital.
